LA Fitness Remodels 8 Pennsylvania Clubs

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LA Fitness, Pennsylvania's leading health club chain, is pleased to announce its plan to remodel and replace equipment in eight of its Philadelphia market clubs.  The remodels, which will be completed on a rolling schedule from February to March 2013, will enhance the features already in place at each location; reinforcing the LA Fitness commitment to maintain a quality experience for its members. 

In conjunction with a full-scale remodel of its Springfield club, LA Fitness is expanding the club by more than 14,000 square feet. Once complete, the club will feature all new cardio equipment each with its own personal TV screens, a new pool and a basketball court.

In other clubs, members can look forward to upgrades such as refinishing of hardwood floors in the group fitness rooms, racquetball and basketball courts, new flooring in the cycling studio, new LCD televisions, refinished saunas, new carpet, lighting and paint/graphics, and new cardio and strength equipment and indoor studio cycles. The Scope of remodel work and equipment replacement will vary from club-to-club depending on the needs, size and age of each location.

"In order to maintain accessibility and convenience for our members, we are implementing a rolling schedule so that all the clubs are not closed for remodel at that same time. This will allow members to utilize our neighboring facilities during the renovations."

All members will have access to other clubs in the area during the remodel period so that they do not experience interruptions in their normal routine.
