Krause, an experienced labor and employment and data privacy attorney, has joined the Detroit office of McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm. Krause works with clients in the firm's Data Privacy and Cybersecurity and Labor and Employment Practice Groups.
Krause joins McDonald Hopkins from a national manufacturing and related long haul transportation company where she served as assistant general counsel. Earlier in her career, Krause worked as an attorney in a Detroit defense firm where she represented and counseled employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.
Krause provides legal counsel regarding data breach response, privacy and cybersecurity compliance, and policy development. She also advises clients to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, such as the FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ADEA, civil rights laws, and data breach notification laws. Krause has extensive experience advising employers on issues related to litigation prevention, leaves of absence and disability management, wage and hour, non-competition, employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, employee discipline, hiring and termination, and cybersecurity compliance. She also represents clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal court. Krause conducts training on workplace and data privacy compliance issues as well.
