Grocery industry veteran to lead the Storewise by Ladle business as the company expands investment in technology for independent and regional grocers
BOSTON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ladle, a leading provider of technology and solutions for independent grocers, today announced the promotion of Steve Miller to Executive Vice President, Grocery Pricing Operations, expanding his leadership responsibility across the company's grocery business and its Storewise by Ladle technology portfolio.
In his new role, Miller will lead the grocery organization across sales, customer onboarding, support, and software development, with responsibility for accelerating growth and innovation across Ladle's grocery business. He will report directly to Ladle CEO Todd Gebski.
"The independent grocery segment is an important part of Ladle's business and Storewise is where we see significant opportunity to do more for our customers, wholesalers and industry partners," said Gebski. "Steve brings a rare combination of grocery industry experience, technology expertise and a deep understanding of how retailers, wholesalers and vendors work together. Putting the full grocery organization under his leadership gives us greater focus and allows us to move faster on the solutions our customers need."
Miller brings decades of experience in technology and automation to the role, including 12 years as a grocery wholesaler CIO. Throughout his career, Miller has worked with retailers, wholesalers and vendors to automate complex processes, improve the flow of information between organizations, and reduce the manual work required to run their businesses.
That experience will help shape the next phase of Ladle's grocery pricing strategy, including continued investment in StoreKeeper and ReceiptKeeper. StoreKeeper connects retailers with wholesale and DSD vendors while automating critical pricing processes. ReceiptKeeper extends that automation into receiving and vendor management. The company is also preparing to release ReceiptKeeper AI, designed to allow retailers to scan or photograph vendor invoices and automate much of the receiving process.
"Independent grocers operate in an incredibly demanding environment, and technology should make running their stores easier, not add more complexity," said Miller. "I've spent much of my career working at the intersection of grocery wholesale, retail, and technology, and I'm excited about what we can accomplish by bringing our teams together around that goal. We have an opportunity to automate more of the work that consumes retailers' time, strengthen the connections between retailers, wholesalers and vendors, and give independent grocers technology built around the way they actually operate."
Storewise by Ladle helps independent and regional grocers automate pricing and vendor processes, improve price integrity and gain greater visibility into the information that affects store profitability. Miller's appointment brings the teams responsible for developing, delivering and supporting those solutions under a single grocery leader.
"Our commitment is bigger than any one product," Gebski added. "We aim to be a long-term technology partner to the independent grocery community. Steve's leadership gives us the focus and industry expertise to continue earning that trust."
