LAS TORRES PATAGONIA EXPANDS "10 VOLUNTEERS FOR 10 DAYS" FOR 2025
Led by the family-owned Patagonian property in Torres del Paine National Park, ten travelers will be selected to join a restoration mission in Torres del Paine
TORRES DEL PAINE, Chile, Feb. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Torres Patagonia has officially launched the second edition of its 10 Volunteers for 10 Days campaign, an initiative created in 2024 to bring volunteers from around the world to help rebuild the trail to Base Torres, one of Chile's most iconic tourism destinations. The program includes an all-expenses-paid experience, covering flights and accommodations, allowing 10 sustainability enthusiasts to contribute to one of the most significant projects in Torres del Paine National Park.
In the campaign's inaugural edition, volunteers successfully contributed to restoring 480 meters of the Base Torres trail—a critical path for visitors and the ecosystem alike. With over 500 entries received from participants, representing diverse ages, backgrounds, and skills, 10 enthusiastic volunteers made a lasting impact on both the park's infrastructure and their own lives. Their transformative experiences were captured in testimonials and videos, reaching an impressive 10.8 million people across platforms. Now, the story continues: join the second edition of "10 Volunteers for 10 Days" and help build a path toward a sustainable future.
This year's campaign will bring 10 volunteers from Chile, Brazil, and the United States, split into two groups. They will have the opportunity to stay in Torres del Paine from April 7–12 or April 15–20, 2025. To participate, applicants must upload a video to Instagram no longer than 45 seconds, explaining the importance of ecotourism and sustainability in their lives. The post must include the hashtag #PatagoniaVoluntourism2025 and tag @LasTorres.Patagonia. After uploading their video, participants must complete a form available on the Las Torres Patagonia website to help coordinate their trip in case they are selected.
Entries close at midnight PST on February 19. The campaign is open to applicants over 21 years old who are residents of the United States, Chile, or Brazil. Selected participants will be notified during the last week of February.
The winners will receive round-trip airfare from their home cities to Chile's Magallanes Region, as well as round-trip transportation between the airport and Torres del Paine National Park. They will stay at Hotel Las Torres, located in the heart of the national park, with all meals and daily activities included, in addition to taking part in the trail reconstruction efforts.
