Rosemary Winters, CEO of Latin Trade Group, said the appointment of Gutierrez to executive editor reflects the publication's continued success in attracting top talent to the team that has won 27 editorial and design awards in the last seven years. Gutierrez has covered Latin America for almost three decades. Prior to joining Latin Trade, he was Director of Dinero, a leading business magazine in Colombia and spearheaded the print and digital efforts. Gutierrez previously worked with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) as a correspondent. He studied Economics at the University of Minnesota and has courses at MIT and Columbia. Together with Elida Bustos, Managing Editor based in Buenos Aires they will continue to position Latin Trade as the leading source for business in Latin America and the Caribbean.
