SAN ANTONIO, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/-- NALCAB – National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders will host its 8th annual national conference at the Charlotte Marriott City Center Hotel in Charlotte, NC. The conference begins at 8:30am on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. This year's conference theme is Abriendo Puertas al Sueño Americano: Developing Opportunity, Excellence & Entrepreneurship. NALCAB's conference is designed for grassroots leaders to engage and learn from experts in the community economic development field on the issues of financial education, consumer protection, and immigration reform as a catalyst for small business and job creation. The NALCAB conference offers the opportunity for participants from across the country to connect with asset building practitioners, funders and public policy makers from both the public and private sectors, to discuss best practices and strategies for economic development in communities of color. More than 200 grassroots and national leaders are expected to attend.
NALCAB is a national organization that represents more than 90 nonprofit organizations in 32 states and the District of Columbia that focus on job creation, neighborhood stabilization and consumer financial education.
