LawVu Launches Lens: AI that Uncovers Risk and Opportunity Across Entire Contract Portfolios
Built into LawVu LegalOS, the new capability makes it possible for in-house legal teams to surface risk, obligations, and opportunities across their full contract repository
TAURANGA, New Zealand, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LawVu, today announced the launch of LawVu Lens, an AI contract analysis tool that gives in-house legal teams visibility across their entire contract portfolio, surfacing risks and obligations before they become problems. Lens is embedded directly in LawVu LegalOS, the operating system built to run the entire legal function.
While many legal AI tools speed up the drafting or review of individual contracts, LawVu Lens analyzes the entire contract portfolio at once, using obligation frameworks built by legal experts to turn scattered contract language into a structured, searchable view. In-house teams can ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in their own contracts, with citations back to source documents.
"Most AI tools in legal only see a small piece of the picture, so they overlook important details or need a human to double-check their work," said Sam Kidd, Co-Founder and CEO of LawVu. "Lens is different because it works with the structured legal data each customer has built up inside their own LawVu LegalOS, so insights are grounded in their organization's own work. It reasons across every contract instead of guessing from scratch. That's what lets legal see around corners: catching problems before they happen, preventing bottlenecks and lost time or revenue."
Key use cases for LawVu Lens include:
- Revenue protection: flagging customer contracts set to renew on unfavorable terms, and missed service levels that could trigger credits, refunds, or termination rights.
- M&A and audit readiness: identifying contracts that require consent, allow termination, or impose new obligations on a change of control.
- Incident, disruption, and regulatory response: pinpointing customer commitments at risk after an event such as a port closure, data breach, or change in law, and where delays or non-compliance could lead to damages, penalties, or termination.
- Outside counsel cost reduction: extracting relevant provisions from hundreds of contracts into a structured table, so external counsel can review the exceptions instead of every contract.
Lens builds on the momentum of LawVu's June 2026 announcement of LawVu LegalOS, which brought AI-powered intake, drafting, and workflow automation into one connected system for in-house legal teams. Since then, LawVu has continued to expand its AI capabilities, and Lens is the latest step in that direction: ensuring that as a legal team's contract portfolio grows, their ability to understand it grows right along with it.
LawVu built Lens on the same trust foundation that runs across all of LawVu LegalOS, with ISO 27001, SOC 1, and SOC 2 certification; GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA compliance; and is aligned to ISO 42001 for AI management systems.
Customer data always remains the customer's own, and is never used to train LawVu's models, giving legal teams the benefit of AI without compromising on data privacy.
LawVu Lens is available now as an add-on for LawVu LegalOS customers. To see it in action, visit lawvu.com/workspace/contract-management/lens.
