CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb.  24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate health and wellness leader Provant today announced it has expanded its presence in Charlotte with the addition of health coaches, fitness directors and senior client service executives.

The expansion will help the national company better support clients and the increasing demand for wellness programs that reduce healthcare costs, help improve employees' health and increase productivity.

Provant staff in the Charlotte area include:

• Julianne Guzik, vice president of client management, a wellness leader with two decades of experience helping organizations to achieve desired health outcomes. Prior to joining Provant, Julianne served as senior wellness advisor at Domtar Inc. in Fort Mill, wellness partnerships director at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, and an adjunct professor in the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's kinesiology department. She earned a master's degree in health promotion and kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Delaware.
• Damon Park, vice president of business development, responsible for introducing area organizations to the unique value of Provant's wellness programs. Damon has spent more than a decade in sales, management and program design, and was a longtime fitness director at Gold's Gym. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
• Amy Janak, senior client manager, charged with leading the implementation and execution of Provant wellness programs to produce the highest possible results. Prior to Provant, Amy worked as a healthcare business development manager at The Remi Group in Charlotte. She has also worked at Abbott Laboratories, Aetna US Healthcare and in the office of Pennsylvania governor. She earned a bachelor's degree in public policy and a master's degree in health administration from Penn State.
• Exercise physiologists Maiya Keeling and James Richardson and registered dietitians Gayle Dixon, Nan Mann, Vicki Moore and Carla Spencer. Most are longtime North Carolina residents.
