Learn how to Save Money and Energy on Lighting From DTE Energy Experts at Home Depot
DETROIT, Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy efficiency experts from DTE Energy will be at The Home Depot stores in metro Detroit on Saturday, Oct. 22, to offer homeowners advice on how to save money by making changes to the way they light their homes.
During this "CFL Saturday" event, shoppers also will be able to take advantage of special pricing DTE Energy is offering on energy-efficient light bulbs. Select Energy Star ® qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) are available for less than 99 cents per bulb at The Home Depot locations throughout the metro Detroit area.
With lighting accounting for about 20 percent of the average homeowner's electric bill, replacing incandescent bulbs with CFLs can help lower energy expenses. CFLs use 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times longer and provide just as much light as standard incandescent bulbs. That can translate into savings of as much as $44 over the lifetime of just one CFL.
Take advantage of deep discounts on Compact Florescent Lighting* (CFL) to light your home this winter.
