How the Long and Short Daily Anthropic ETFs Work

Leveraged and inverse single-stock ETFs seek defined multiples or inverse multiples of the daily performance of an individual stock.

A 2X long ETF, such ANUU, seeks 200% of the daily performance of its reference stock, before fees and expenses. A -2X ETF, such as ANDD generally seeks -200% of the stock's daily performance, while a -1X ETF, such as ANSS, seeks -100%.

These products can provide leveraged bullish or inverse daily exposure through an exchange-traded structure without requiring an investor to establish a leveraged or short position in the underlying stock directly.

The 'daily' distinction is important. Because leveraged and inverse ETFs rebalance each trading day, returns over periods longer than a single day can differ significantly from the stated multiple or inverse multiple of the underlying stock's cumulative return.
