LG Electronics Debuts New Line of Microwave Ovens

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to deliver innovations in its home appliance product line-up, LG Electronics USA today announced an expanded family of microwave ovens offering enhanced performance features and premium designs.

Designed with the home chef in mind, new features include convection and sensor cooking technologies, a unique over-the-range venting system and even a special pizza-baking drawer. Over-the-range and countertop microwaves in a variety of finishes are all available in time for the busy holiday entertaining season.

• Over-the-Range Convection Microwave (LMVH1711ST):  LG's Convection Technology allows this microwave to serve as a second oven, where consumers may pre-heat, bake or roast their favorite foods in less time.  Humidity-sensing technology determines when food is cooked and automatically turns off the microwave to help prevent the over- or under-cooking of meals.  This unit with a stainless steel finish is available now at a suggested retail price of $629.
• Over-the-Range Microwave (LMH2016ST):  LG's Extenda™ Vent covers the entire cooking surface, including the front burners, for better, more complete ventilation in the kitchen.  Sensor cooking technology senses humidity levels within the oven and automatically adjusts cooking time and performance to provide superior heating performance.  This stainless steel unit is available now at a suggested retail price of $419.
• Countertop Microwave with Oven (LCSP1110ST): This model's 1400-watt pizza drawer and 1000-watt microwave can cook and bake at the same time. The Auto Pizza Feature automatically adjusts cooking times for fresh or frozen pizzas.  Ideal for college dorm rooms, this unit is available now in stainless at a suggested retail price of $209.
• Countertop Microwave (LCRT2010ST):  This model uses the patented True Cook Plus® technology which is designed to cook food safely, easily and perfectly every time, while sensor cooking technology that senses humidity levels within the oven automatically adjusts cooking time to provide superior heating performance.  LG's innovative round cavity optimizes interior space in a standard size and is easier to clean since there are no hard to reach edges.  This unit is available now at a suggested retail price of $199.
• Countertop Microwave (LCRT1510SV): For those who are looking for an update to some standard microwave features, in addition to LG's patented True Cook Plus technology, this model also offers a new EasyClean interior, which means quick and high performance cleaning without the use of chemicals.  This unit is available now in a unique silver and black finish at a suggested retail price of $169.
• Countertop Microwave (LCS1410SW): Along with 1.4 cubic feet of capacity, 1200 watts of power, sensor cook and one-touch settings, this model also includes a child lock button, enabling parents to lock the keypad to prevent the oven from accidentally being started.  This white-finish unit is available now at a suggested retail price of $149.
