Liaison Healthcare Announces Mobile Lab Results for EMR-Link™

ATLANTA, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today the launch of mobile connectivity for its EMR-Link™ solution. With this solution, all clinician users who receive lab results via the EMR-Link hub will be able to view lab results through any smart phone, enabling real-time access to patient information from any location at any time. EMR-Link Mobile is a free benefit that Liaison lab partners can offer to practices that receive results through EMR-Link. The mobile connectivity provides benefits such as faster treatment plans, improved care coordination and, ultimately, better overall patient care. The initial pilot sites have been launched and full production release is set for the third quarter of 2013.

The full EMR-Link solution is a SaaS-based portal for the ordering and reporting of labs and imaging diagnostic tests that integrates into the electronic health record (EHR) workflow of its 15,000 users. Liaison Healthcare recognized the need to connect physicians with lab results at any time and any location. In order to address this, any lab distributing results through the EMR-Link hub now has the capability to do so via mobile connectivity as a part of the solution's outreach offering. Providers can now not only access critical patient information via any  smart phone, but they can also choose to receive alerts based on out-of-range lab results. This allows them to provide faster and more accurate treatment plans to their patients, especially in critical situations, and collaborate across specialties if needed, ultimately enhancing overall patient care.
