Attorney to Provide Expert Testimony in Support of LD 1428 at Public Hearing Thursday

AUGUSTA, Maine, Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Liberty Institute Senior Counsel Jeremy Dys will testify before Maine's Joint Judiciary Committee in favor of "The Preservation of Religious Freedom Act," (Bill LD 1428) January 16, at 1 PM ET. The pubic hearing will be held in the Judiciary Committee room at the State House in Augusta. Dys will be available to the press following the hearing.

Dys has released the following statement: "Religious liberty is an unqualified guarantee by our Constitution.  A government should not burden a person's exercise of religion without providing the most compelling of compelling reasons. The Preservation of Religious Freedom Act makes that clear. Mainers should expect their lawmakers to do all that is in their power to protect and defend their religious freedoms."
