Licenders Opens New Treatment Center in Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Licenders, the East Coast's premier head-lice removal service, announces the grand opening of their new lice treatment center in Stamford, CT.   This unique salon will have trained head lice removal experts that specialize in easy and effective head lice removal, head lice treatments, education and prevention.

"Incidents of head lice have been growing at an alarming rate in this country as the widespread use of pesticide based products has created a 'superbug,'" said Adie Horowitz, owner, Licenders.  "People don't realize how many different ways you can get head lice – not just at camp and school, but traveling, sharing clothing, and so forth.  And it's not just for kids."

The Connecticut Treatment Center will be incorporating breakthrough technology in their treatment process – the LouseBuster™ device, a patented medical device that has been reviewed and cleared by the FDA.  The LouseBuster device kills head lice and their eggs without using pesticides or other chemicals; the treatment uses only controlled heated air delivered by certified operators.  The treatment is performed by a trained Licenders Certified Operator who uses a disposable applicator tip attached to the LouseBuster device to direct carefully controlled heated air against the hair roots and scalp where lice and their eggs typically are located.
