Lifecycle Renewables Partners with East Coast to Distribute Truburn Renewable Heating Oil in New York City

New distribution agreement enables NYC building owners to receive deliveries of 100% renewable biofuel that is Local Law 97 compliant

BOSTON and NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifecycle Renewables, the creator of Truburn, a renewable heating oil that reduces greenhouse emissions by over 86 percent, today announced a new distribution partnership with East Coast, a New York City provider of residential and commercial fuel deliveries, HVAC and mechanical services. Through this strategic partnership, Lifecycle expands its reach from New England to Metro New York, one of the most populated regions of the United States.

Truburn is derived from recycled vegetable cooking oil collected from restaurants and converted into heating oil. Compared to traditional heating oil, it reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 86% and is considered carbon neutral. Some of Boston's most well-known restaurants sell their used cooking oil to Lifecycle Renewables, which is then converted to Truburn to heat commercial buildings and college campuses across the Northeast. Now commercial and residential buildings in NYC can buy Truburn.

East Coast is the first provider in New York City to introduce commercial and residential building owners to a convenient, carbon-neutral alternative to No. 4 oil, which is banned in city-owned buildings after July 1, 2025, and for all others after July 1, 2027. Truburn also complies with New York City's Local Law 97, a regulation requiring buildings of 25,000 square feet or more to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030.
