Lifestory Research Reports: Trilogy by Shea Homes Recognized by Active Adult Home Shoppers as Most Trusted Builder in America for Second Consecutive Year

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Shea Homes Trilogy has been identified as the Most Trusted Builder in America for the second consecutive year, according to ground-breaking national research of new-home shoppers, who say trust is the new currency for consumers seeking a 55+ active adult lifestyle community.  Shea Homes Trilogy is among the nation's largest active adult lifestyle builders, selling homes in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Virginia and Washington.

The Lifestory Research Most Trusted Builder in America Study ^SM tracks builder brands in the top 27 housing markets in the United States, including the top active adult brands serving the housing market today.  To qualify for inclusion in the national ranking of active adult builders, a builder had to be among the top 20 builder brands in the United States and offer housing targeted toward active adults in multiple locations. A total of 12,744 new home shoppers, over the age of 50, evaluated the active adult builders in this study.

Trust is measured through the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score.  This score is based on the fundamental perspective that every organization's customer can be divided into three categories: "advocates," who feel a significant trust toward a given brand; "neutrals," who trust a specific brand, but do not see a specific brand as standing on the shoulders of other brands in regards to trust; and "antagonists," who are skeptics with little, if any, trust in a specific brand.
