Lifetime Award to Honor Jack Randall, Ken Dewey for Pioneering Roles in Petroleum A+D Marketplace

HOUSTON, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Oil and Gas Investor magazine and A&D Watch newsletter, both Hart Energy publications, will recognize financial trail-blazers Jack Randall and Ken Dewey with special Lifetime A&D Achievement Awards. The presentation will be made during the 10th annual A&D Strategies and Opportunities Conference on August 30, 2011, in Dallas, Texas.

Randall and Dewey pioneered the oil and gas asset transaction-advisory business in 1989 when they formed Randall & Dewey Inc. in Houston. The men created a new business model by combining sophisticated transaction knowledge with hands-on oil and gas expertise. Since then, Randall & Dewey advisors have completed 300+ petroleum industry deals between buyers and sellers of oil and gas assets. Randall was the firm's president and CEO until he retired in 2004, and Dewey served as its chief financial officer until his retirement in 2006.

Randall & Dewey was acquired by investment banking firm Jefferies & Co. in 2005, becoming the bank's oil and gas asset transaction arm. Today Randall & Dewey continues providing advisory services for U.S. and international asset sales, joint ventures and corporate mergers.
