Zachary Carney, a resident of Westerville, Ohio was selected amongst more than 100,000 entries, and will receive a 4-day/3-night trip for two to attend a NASCAR race in Phoenix, AZ and a LiftMaster® Elite Series® 8550 DC Battery Backup Belt Drive garage door opener with installation for his home and for up to ten nearby friends.

Carney saw the contest featured on Facebook and submitted an entry because he is a NASCAR fan and needed to upgrade his garage door.

The Grand Prize includes:
- A 4-day/3-night trip (11/7 – 11/10/14) for 2 to attend a Sponsor-specified car race in Phoenix, AZ including round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner's home, hotel accommodations (double occupancy), a pair of admission tickets to the race, a pair of Hot Passes for VIP access and tour of the racetrack, 4 days' rental car in Phoenix, and $500 spending money for winner. The Sweepstakes is part of LiftMaster's "Don't Chance It. Check It.™" Safety Campaign to encourage homeowners to perform routine inspections on their garage doors. LiftMaster has developed a simple 3-Step Safety Check which can be performed on any automatic garage door opener installed after 1993. Garage door openers manufactured prior to 1993 may not be up to federal safety standards and should be replaced.
This 3-Step Safety Check is as follows:
- Check the sides of the garage door for properly installed photo eyes (black sensors) mounted no higher than 6 inches off the floor.
- Block the photo eye with an object over 6 inches tall and press the garage door opener's close button. The door should not close.
- Lay a 1.5 inch-high object on the ground in the door's path and press the close button. The door should reverse off this object.
