LMC Listed No. 4 on NMHC's Top 50 Developers List
Company Makes Sixth Consecutive Appearance on Prestigious List
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 30, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- LMC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lennar Corporation and a leader in apartment development and management, today announced it has been listed as the fourth-largest developer of multifamily housing, according to the National Multifamily Housing Council's 2020 Top 50 Developers list.
This marks the sixth consecutive year LMC has finished in the Top 10 of the prestigious developers list. LMC started 6,726 apartment homes in 2019, which represents 2,141 more than the previous year and the company's most ever in a year. LMC was also recognized on NMHC's Top 25 Builders list at No. 12.

LMC made a fourth straight appearance on the Top 25 Builders list, which had previously been known as the Top 25 General Contractors. As a general contractor, LMC started 3,917 homes in 2019 to earn the distinction—also the company's most ever in a year—and its No. 12 ranking was the company's highest since being listed No. 9 in 2017.
The NMHC Top 50 is a collection of the National Multifamily Housing Council's authoritative rankings of the nation's 50 largest apartment developers, 50 largest apartment owners, 50 largest apartment managers, 25 largest builders and 10 largest syndicators. NMHC began its annual rankings of developers and builders/general contractors in 2015.
The communities on which LMC broke ground in 2019 include Ovation (Seattle), Odin (Minneapolis), Amara (Portland, Ore.), The Fynn (Elmhurst, Ill.), The Ellis (Charlotte, N.C.), The Mitchell (White Plains, N.Y.) and The Smyth (Stamford, Conn.).
