Lockheed Martin Coursework Will Receive College Credit From American Military University

KINGSTOWNE, Va., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced today that coursework offered through its Center for Security Analysis has been evaluated and recommended for college credit by American Military University (AMU), a leading online education provider to the armed forces and member institution of the American Public University System.

Lockheed Martin recently submitted two 45-hour courses to AMU for evaluation: Critical Thinking and Asymmetric Threat Operations. The coursework went through a rigorous 60-day  evaluation by AMU and was recommended for academic credit last month. Any attendee taking  either of the courses can receive three credit hours for each towards an undergraduate degree from AMU, with the  credits for Asymmetric Threat Operations applicable to major course requirements for the BA in Intelligence Studies, BA in Security Management and BA in Homeland Security.

Lockheed Martin's Center for Security Analysis offers intelligence analysis training to the Department of Defense, law enforcement community and U.S. citizens employed by federal or state governments, and U.S. corporations or organizations engaged in intelligence and security.
