Lockton Aviation Sponsoring Flight around the Globe

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Amelia Rose Earhart is embarking on an around-the-world flight retracing the route of her namesake. Earhart and her aircraft will be insured through policies structured and secured by Lockton Companies, the world's largest privately held insurance broker.

Earhart intends to circumnavigate the globe in a Pilatus PC-12 NG single-engine aircraft. Departure from Oakland, California is scheduled for June 2014. The planned route includes 17 stops with 98 flying hours during 15-18 days, depending on weather conditions.
