Lockton's Dustin Richartz Named as 2015 Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year

DENVER, July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton Companies' Dustin Richartz, Senior Loss Control Consultant, has been named the 2015 Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). This award distinguishes him the top safety professional among ASSE's 37,000 global members for 2015. Richartz was recognized for his outstanding achievement in the safety field while making significant contributions that advance the safety profession.

Richartz's personal motivation stems from his desire to help people and from two tragic incidents: the loss of a friend due to an on-the-job accident, and his own on-the-job injury. "Both of these events are a reminder of how short life is and motivate me as a professional to continuously learn and grow," explained Richartz.

Based in Lockton's Denver office, Richartz assists clients by identifying cost-drivers in their property and casualty risk management programs, as well as implementing processes to minimize their overall risk.

Along with Richartz's role with Lockton and membership in ASSE, he also participates in the ASSE Oil and Gas Practice Specialty. He served on the executive board of the Colorado Chapter and is a past Colorado Chapter President. He serves on the ASSE Regional Leadership team and on multiple national-level committees. He is also a member of the National Safety Council Young Professionals Division, in which he was named a 2014 Rising Star of Safety.
