NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LOFT, the brand known for its versatile, everyday essentials, optimistic brand spirit and support of women in comedy, is partnering with award-winning writer and comedian Jessi Klein for two comedy shorts, which debut today. Klein wrote and stars in the shorts, which spoof relatable fashion struggles loosely inspired by her real life.
Klein, head writer and executive producer of Inside Amy Schumer, released a New York Times bestselling book of personal essays, You'll Grow Out of It, this summer. In "Burritos," she is challenged to find her unique author style for book readings, employing the assistance of a stylish friend. In "Coming Clean," Klein breaks the fourth wall and confesses her challenge in finding her post-baby style, leading to a hilarious goodbye to the clothes she feels she has fallen out of love with, ultimately embracing a new look.
"As a comedy writer, I am constantly creating material, and I loved funneling my ideas into a project like this," said Klein. "LOFT encouraged me to see those ideas come to life."
This is Klein's first time writing shorts for a fashion brand. In partnering with Klein, LOFT keeps with its tradition of standing behind women in comedy.
