Louisville's Grammy Winning Gospel Artist, Larnelle Harris, to Perform Patriotic Concert

LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Louisville's very own, Larnelle Harris will headline "A Celebration of Faith, Family & Freedom", the city's premiere Patriotic musical event.  Taking place at St. Matthews Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 1st at 7:00 PM, concert goers can expect patriotic anthems and sacred classics performed by Harris and accompanied by the St. Matthews Baptist Church choir & chancel orchestra. 

Presented by Narrow Gate Productions, this will be Mr. Harris' first hometown concert since the release of his latest project, Larnelle: Live in Nashville.  Larnelle Harris is a rarity in the music profession.  He is a five time Grammy Award winning artist who has garnered eleven Dove Awards, a Stellar Award and countless other honors.  He has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and the Amateur Radio Hall of Fame.  In addition, his music has reached the Top 10 countdown countless times with nineteen #1 radio singles.  Accolades also include Harris as the first Christian artist to perform inside the Kremlin after the fall of the Soviet Union.  He is one of a handful of celebrities to achieve the Ad Council's Silver Bell Award for Distinguished Public Service in recognition of his song "Mighty Spirit" as the theme song for the longest-running Public Service Announcement in television history.
