Lozano Smith Announces New Assistant Managing Partner

FRESNO, Calif., July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lozano Smith, LLP, a leading California education and public agency law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Rezendes to the position of Assistant Managing Partner.

Ms. Rezendes is a Partner assigned to the firm's Walnut Creek and Sacramento offices. Ms. Rezendes specializes in the areas of employment law, labor negotiations, Brown Act, School Board governance, student issues, special education and general school law. As the Assistant Managing Partner, Ms. Rezendes will help in guiding the strategic direction of the firm, continuing long-term growth, facilitating attorney development and expanding client services.

Ms. Rezendes received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law. In addition to her law firm experience, she has also served as an arbitrator, hearing officer, pro tem Superior Court Judge, and Director of Human Resources and General Legal Counsel for a County Office of Education and a K-12 public school district.
