Lt. Gen. Phillips joins PNL board of directors

MONONA, Wis., Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Nuclear Labs (PNL) announced today that retired Army Lt. Gen. William Phillips has joined its seven-member board of directors.

Phillips recently retired after nearly 38 years of service and currently resides in Alexandria, Va.  Over the course of his career, Phillips served as an aviator, an acquisition commander in Iraq and Afghanistan, and as the highest-ranking military acquisition officer in the Army.

A native of Tennessee, Phillips began his Army career in 1976.  He has held a number of roles critical to transforming Army aviation and acquisition, including deputy program executive officer (PEO) for aviation at Redstone Arsenal; program executive officer for ammunition and commanding general of Picatinny Arsenal; commander joint contracting command Iraq and Afghanistan; and principal military deputy to the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology.
