Lt. Gov. Fedele and Congressional Leaders Larson, DeLauro and Courtney Recognize Pratt & Whitney and Boeing for NewGen Tanker Partnership

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele and U.S. Reps. John B. Larson, Rosa DeLauro, and Joe Courtney today celebrated the selection of the Pratt & Whitney PW4062 engine as the exclusive power for Boeing's proposed NewGen Tanker platform to be offered to U.S. Air Force for its tanker recapitalization program.  Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. All four elected officials applauded Boeing's selection of Pratt & Whitney's PW4062 engines for its proposed NewGen Tanker during a visit today to Pratt & Whitney's East Hartford campus.  Today also marks the day the Boeing/Pratt & Whitney team submitted their Pratt & Whitney-powered NewGen Tanker proposal in the competition for the U.S. Air Force's tanker recapitalization program.
