Lucha Libre USA Announces Its First Live Date to be Filmed for MTV2 / MTV Tr3s Premiere

NEW YORK, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucha Libre USA is proud to announce the first of many live events to be broadcast on MTV2 & MTV Tr3s. The first show will be filmed on June 6th at Agua Caliente Casino, Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA.

The broadcast premiere will feature the highest level of professional wrestlers, directly from Mexico. Fans of professional wrestling will have the opportunity to witness the high flying and explosive action that only Lucha Libre USA can deliver.

MTV2 and MTV Tr3s just announced it will air 52 weeks of Masked Warriors, the first English language Lucha Libre USA Wrestling series.  Kicking off the series on MTV2 and MTV Tr3s will be Lucha Libre: Behind the Mask, a 30-minute special airing on MTV2 and MTV Tr3s, giving viewers an introduction to Mexican wrestling and Lucha Libre USA.

Featuring amazing aerial acrobatics and elaborate masks, Lucha Libre is a significant part of Mexican culture. It is the best-attended live sporting event after soccer, the national sport. For the first time, Mexican-Americans will see their beloved traditional sport make the crossover from Latin television to American mainstream media.
