TORRANCE, Calif., July 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Luminit Inc., a U.S.-based global leader in holographic optics for Automotive, Defense and Industrial applications, today announced a major expansion of its manufacturing operations with the addition of a fourth production facility dedicated to high-volume Holographic Optical Elements (HOEs). The new Roll-to-Roll nano-optics facility is being purpose-built for manufacturing Volume Bragg Grating (VBG) optical film used in a range of applications including windshield displays for vehicles and trucks, aerospace HUD's, and military gunsights.
Luminit’s roll-to-roll (R2R) manufacturing tool produces auto-certified holographically mastered films at kilometer lengths. New holographic AR and movie theatre windshield applications are in hot demand.
Inspired by BMW’s new Neue Klasse 2025 Panoramic iDrive display, Automotive OEM customers are trialing Luminit’s full windshield version, including holographic AR-HUD capability.
