NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- LUMIQ, an AI-native financial services company, today announced the appointment of Rohit Nagpal as Global President & CEO, Americas, effective August 1, 2026. Based in Dallas, Texas, Nagpal reports to Founder & Global CEO Shoaib Mohammad and will lead the company's global sales operations and growth, alongside its marketing and partnership functions, with a primary mandate to build LUMIQ's North America business. The appointment follows the company's strategic funding round led by Bajaj Finserv, which named expansion in the United States and Southeast Asia as its first priority.
"Every week we meet a US insurer or bank running a proof of concept that will never reach production. Technology is not what stops them. What stops them is that no one has shown them an AI decision they could defend to a regulator, run at a fraction of the cost, and deliver before the customer on the other end ever feels stuck in a queue. We can, and we already do. What we have not had is the leadership on the ground to bring that to every institution that needs it. Rohit has built and run exactly that motion, in this market, for this buyer."
- Shoaib Mohammad, Founder & Global CEO, LUMIQ
From serving the market to building in it
LUMIQ already serves financial institutions across India, the United States, and Southeast Asia, and runs its US operations from New Jersey. The Americas appointment turns that presence into a dedicated build: a go-to-market team, a partnership ecosystem, and a sales cadence designed for the scale and scrutiny of North American institutions.
Rohit joins with more than 25 years building and scaling enterprise technology businesses across North America and Europe, selling to the kind of large, regulated buyers LUMIQ now serves, including as Chief Business Officer at Tenarai and CEO at PeopleShores, with earlier leadership roles at HCL and Blue Star.
His mandate covers four priorities: building the North America go-to-market team and pipeline; standardising LUMIQ's global sales cadence; leading marketing aimed at the buyers who make the decision; and growing the company's partnership and M&A agenda across the Americas.
"North American banks and insurers do not just want a faster process. They want a decision they can defend to a regulator, a materially lower cost to serve, and a better experience for the customer waiting on the other end of that decision. LUMIQ already delivers all three, in production, at scale, inside real institutions. My job is to build a Lumiq/LiteCone brand that drives the go-to-market engine, the partnerships, and the discipline that brings this to every institution in the region that needs it."
- Rohit Nagpal, Global President & CEO, Americas, LUMIQ
What he is taking to market
Through its LiteCone platform, LUMIQ deploys AI agents that read the file, apply the institution's own guidelines, and reach the decision end to end — escalating only the cases that genuinely require human judgment. The output is not a recommendation. It is a decision, with full reasoning attached, cross-referenced to policy, and defensible under audit.
The results in production speak clearly. At a leading life insurer, LUMIQ's LEO agent decides 75–80% of underwriting cases with zero human touch, reduced policy issuance cost by roughly 25%, and compressed turnaround from days to under eight minutes — running 24x7 with complete auditability. Across insurance, banking, and capital markets in India, the US, and Southeast Asia, LUMIQ now processes millions of decisions annually.
Capital and leadership are now pointed at the same place: the markets where the institutions are largest, the regulators most demanding, and the standard of proof highest.
LUMIQ's goal is to lead one category: auto-decisioning at production scale for financial services. Agents that act, not assist, and never compromise audit, compliance, or predictability. The Americas is where that ambition meets its hardest test.
