LUNGevity Foundation Hosts Inaugural Breathe Deep DC Golf Classic
Lung Cancer Hope Month Event to Raise Funds for Lung Cancer Research, Features Special Guest NBC4's Doug Kammerer
WASHINGTON, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- LUNGevity Foundation, the nation's largest lung cancer-focused nonprofit, will host the inaugural Breathe Deep DC Golf Classic, during Lung Cancer Hope Month, at the Army Navy Country Club on May 7, 2012. The Classic will follow LUNGevity's weekend-long Hope Summit for lung cancer survivors at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Va. Honorary event committee members include Speaker John A. Boehner, The Honorable Roy D. Blunt, The Honorable James E. Clyburn, and former Congressman Michael G. Oxley, a lung cancer survivor.
The Breathe Deep DC Golf Classic will raise funds for critical lifesaving lung cancer research. The event chair is Susan Davis, chairman of Susan Davis International, and vice chair is Colby Miller of Miller Group International. NBC Washington News4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer will be a special guest.
LUNGevity created Lung Cancer Hope Month, in May, to recognize the hope for better treatments and cures for lung cancer, improving lung cancer survival rates and quality of life for lung cancer patients and their loved ones. During the month, the LUNGevity is hosting a number of events to build awareness of the lung cancer community and raise funds for critical lifesaving research.
