Luther Burbank Savings Is Helping To Bring Miracles For Kids To Sonoma County

Miracles for Kids is a non-profit organization which provides much needed financial aid, food delivery, wellness and other support programs to meet the basic needs of critically-ill children and families in crisis. Miracles for Kids works with companies and community organizations to make available affordable housing, clothing, food and basic household necessities. Miracles for Kids also provides wellness programs to improve the emotional and mental well-being of these children and their families throughout the year.

According to John Biggs, Santa Rosa resident, CEO and President of Luther Burbank Savings, "we've grown significantly over the course of the last thirty-four years, and supporting Miracles for Kids is one of the ways we want to give back to our community."

Jason Pendergist, President — Consumer & Commercial Banking at Luther Burbank Savings, serves on the Board of Directors for Miracles for Kids. "Miracles for Kids came to our attention three years ago, and we instantly recognized the value of their services to our communities," Pendergist says. The strategic partnership with Luther Burbank Savings will enable Miracles for Kids to bring their services to Northern California for the first time.

"We are very excited to bring our program to Sonoma County," says Miracles for Kids Co-Founder and CEO, Autumn Strier. "Luther Burbank's contribution allows us to expand our services to reach more children battling life-threatening illnesses and their families in need." 

The Miracles for Kids Grant Program provides monthly financial aid to low-income families with critically ill children. Since the Grant Program's launch, Miracles for Kids has provided aid to over 840 families with children battling life-threatening illness.

Luther Burbank Savings provided financing for Miracle Manor, an affordable housing project for families in crisis.
