CANTON, Miss., Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Madison County is working to become the first county in Mississippi to bring C Spire's next-generation, lightning fast Fiber to the Home broadband Internet access and related services to residents in some of its unincorporated areas.

Hundreds of residents who live in 22 subdivisions in unincorporated areas of the state's sixth largest and highest per capita income county already have signed up since C Spire launched pre-registration for the game-changing suite of services earlier this month.

"We're excited about partnering with C Spire and about the opportunity to become the first county in the state to bring this revolutionary technology to homeowners and families," said Supervisor Karl Banks, president of the Madison County Board of Supervisors.  "The initial enthusiasm has been strong and we plan to sustain the momentum."
