Magnatone Amplifiers to Sponsor Twangfest Americana Music Festival
ST. LOUIS, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Magnatone today announced the company has signed on as a sponsor of Twangfest, an annual Americana music festival held in St. Louis. Twangfest 2017 will feature 12 acts over four nights, running from June 7 to June 10 at Off Broadway in St. Louis City. Magnatone's professional amplifiers, featuring the company's true pitch shifting vibrato in stereo, will be on-stage to support the performers, including headliners Black Joe Lewis, Chuck Prophet, Erika Wennerstrom (of Heartless Bastards), John Paul White, Robbie Fulks, Parker Millsap, and the Flat Five.
The company's line of amplifiers, featuring Magnatone's true pitch shifting vibrato in stereo, can trace its on-stage lineage from the origins of rock in the 1950s. The complete line of Magnatone amplifiers incorporates the same vibrato circuitry first patented in 1957 -- with silicon carbide varistors and vacuum tubes -- to achieve the "True Dimensional Sound" for which Magnatone is famous.
