ST. LOUIS, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Magnatone today announced the company has signed on as a sponsor of Twangfest, an annual Americana music festival held in St. Louis. Twangfest 2017 will feature 12 acts over four nights, running from June 7 to June 10 at Off Broadway in St. Louis City. Magnatone's professional amplifiers, featuring the company's true pitch shifting vibrato in stereo, will be on-stage to support the performers, including headliners Black Joe Lewis, Chuck Prophet, Erika Wennerstrom (of Heartless Bastards), John Paul White, Robbie Fulks, Parker Millsap, and the Flat Five.
The company's line of amplifiers, featuring Magnatone's true pitch shifting vibrato in stereo, can trace its on-stage lineage from the origins of rock in the 1950s. The complete line of Magnatone amplifiers incorporates the same vibrato circuitry first patented in 1957 -- with silicon carbide varistors and vacuum tubes -- to achieve the "True Dimensional Sound" for which Magnatone is famous.
"We are pleased to once again sponsor the Twangfest festival, and excited to have our vintage-inspired amplifiers requested by such a great line-up of American artists," said Ted Kornblum, President and Founder of Magnatone.
Twangfest, now in its 21st year, attracts musicians and music fans from all over the country to celebrate and preserve the tradition and culture of Americana music.
"Still going strong in its twenty-first year, Twangfest is evidence of the rich music culture in St. Louis that we are proud to be a part of," said Kornblum. "We congratulate Twangfest for its longevity and its commitment to preserving and promoting the unique tradition and culture of Americana music."
