Malibu International Full and Half Marathon Welcomes ING NYC Marathon Runners
Portion of the Race Entry Will Go Back to Sandy Hurricane Relief
MALIBU, Calif., Nov. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 11, 2012 the Malibu International Full and Half Marathon and SUPathlon (MIM) welcomes all ING NYC Marathon runners. MIM will offer early bird prices using the Malibu4NYC code and 25 percent of the proceeds from each race entry will go back to the AmeriCares Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
This is an opportunity for the running community to band together. In the last few days alone, runners from New York to Australia have registered and momentum is growing. Malibu extends a special invitation to all the athletes that still want to compete and our thoughts and condolences to the families and communities still picking up the pieces.
Known as the Run to Paradise, this race attracts a loyal set of beach lovers and globetrotters. The course journeys from lush farmland through the coastal foothills with views that only exist along Pacific Coast Highway. The SUPathlon, a seven-mile run with a six-mile stand-up paddle off Zuma Beach, is the only event of its kind in Southern California.
Now in its fourth year – MIM continues to thrive. This race is an exotic destination by any standard, whether you drive 30 minutes or fly 20 hours.
