Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona Announces New Luxurious Suites

HONG KONG, Feb. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- After five successful years as one of the best hotels in the city, Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is pleased to announce the addition of 17 spacious and luxurious suites and five additional rooms to its inventory, bringing the total room count to 120.

Located in the modernist building adjacent to the hotel on the city's most luxurious boulevard, Passeig de Gracia, the rooms are all easily accessible via the main building. Each of the new rooms and suites range from 475 to more than 1,300 square feet, and all have been exquisitely designed with an emphasis on style and space.

Beginning in April 2014, guests can benefit from the Suite Temptations package available for three nights through July with a range of fantastic benefits including a spa credit, daily buffet breakfast and an extra complimentary night.

The award-winning Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola, who was responsible for the distinctive interior design of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, has been re-commissioned to create the decor for the new rooms, following the same avant-garde and cosmopolitan style that characterizes the hotel.

The luxurious suites enjoy the addition of balconies overlooking Passeig de Gracia and the famous modernist landmark building from Gaudi, Casa Batllo, or the hotel's peaceful Mimosa garden. Fusing contemporary design with elements of the Group's oriental heritage, these over-sized suites offer a splendid blend of comfort, style and luxury, providing a luxurious environment for entertaining, leisure or business, with private butler service available to cater to all guest needs.
