March of Dimes Earns Place On Working Mother's 100 Best Companies List
Non-Profit Has a Long History of Raising Standards for Working Parents

The March of Dimes offers its employees access to flex-time, part-time and compressed work weeks, the opportunity to work from home or telecommute, among other benefits, as part of its family-focused policies and efforts to help employees achieve a balanced work and family life.
The March of Dimes offers monthly conference calls on work life benefits and policies, as well as quarterly calls covering retirement planning issues. It offers four weeks paid time off to new parents for surrogacy, adoption and foster care placement of a child. Women who give birth receive a minimum of six weeks time off at full pay, (eight weeks for C-Section) upon the birth of their baby. Also, new fathers or significant others receive four weeks paid time off upon the birth of a child.

- 100% Medical Coverage for all maternity and childbirth expenses; no-cost well-child care through the age of 18; no-cost annual physicals for adults
- Salary Continuation Plan for short-term disability
- Sick Pay of 10 days per year, which can be used for child/dependent illness
- Mothers at Work Program free prenatal kits; breast pumps, and lactation services
- Immediate Medical Coverage on the first day of employment for expectant moms or the significant others of expectant moms
- Extended Parental Leave of Absence, up to six months of unpaid leave for a birth, adoption or foster care placement. Expectant moms may request two weeks of this leave prior to the delivery date, even if it isn't medically indicated.
