MassMutual Retirement Services Takes its "Strength and Purpose" Tour to Advisors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A band of MassMutual's Retirement Services Division's sales & client management employees recently embarked on an 18 city, cross country roadshow designed to establish the firm as the premier advisor partner and the retirement industry's thought leader.
Aptly named the "Strength and Purpose Tour," the team blanketed the country's advisor population with a hit list of topics, including:
- MassMutual's Acquisition of The Hartford's Retirement Plans Group – What it means for advisors and the future
- Aviator – Our commitment to the product and the clients it serves
- Local Teams – How MassMutual's unmatched local presence can help advisors build their businesses, with 18 local teams consisting of 84 sales representatives, 94 relationship managers and 80 retirement education specialists.
- Data, Segmenting & Measurement – How real data drives better outcomes for sponsors and participants
- On Their Own Terms – How MassMutual's participant programs and technology investments drive real retirement results.
The tour began in Boston on May 15 and ended in Stamford, CT on June 18. Stops in between included: New York City, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Charlotte, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, Central Orange County, Dallas, Orlando, Minneapolis and Colorado.
"MassMutual's presentation gave me a great overview of where they are in terms of the integration and the road ahead. I enjoyed the opportunity to hear directly from MassMutual's management team and meet face-to-face with my local sales team. I left with lots of ideas to help me build my practice and drive more sales," says Tom Simonson, vice president of Lockton Retirement Services, who attended the Charlotte show.
"At MassMutual, we strongly believe in the value advisors provide to the retirement plans industry and are committed to providing them with the tools they need to help grow their businesses," says Scott Buffington, vice president and national sales manager with MassMutual's Retirement Services Division. "We are thrilled to connect with our nationwide network of advisors in a new and exciting way this year by way of a cross country eighteen city 'tour.' Building upon our shared purpose to help Americans retire on their own terms, with choices, each stop provided advisors with information and resources to help them drive positive participant outcomes and succeed in their practices. We will continue to enhance and expand our products and services so that we can deliver to advisors, and their clients, the best the retirement services industry has to offer," adds Buffington.
