Led by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, alongside Chief Product Officer Sachin Kansal, President, COO Andrew Macdonald and other senior leaders, the course reveals key strategies Uber used to help grow its business, and how business owners and entrepreneurs can deploy those skills to help grow their own careers
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MasterClass, the personalized learning platform unlocking human potential with the world's best, today announced Growth Strategy: Find the Problem. Grow the Business., a MasterClass Certificates course built with Uber and taught by members of Uber's executive team. Through video lessons, hands-on exercises and a capstone project, learners will go beyond studying Uber's success to put its proven growth strategies, tools, and tactics to work. The course is available now for enrollment.
"We didn't do it by chasing growth. We found a human problem — access to transportation — and became obsessed with solving it," Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi says. "Create something so useful that growth follows. That's how Uber did it, and that's what you'll learn to do in this course."
The course draws on real decisions from Uber's history, including building Uber Eats into a business that's now as large as rideshare, leaning into delivery when COVID-19 cut its mobility business by 85%, and relaunching taxis on Uber after an earlier attempt failed. Uber's leaders explain how they spotted each opportunity, what they built around it and how hard calls can come with scale.
How the course works:
The course takes 9 to 12 hours and covers eight core skills, including designing growth systems, trust building, sustaining growth, determining product-market fit, setting growth strategy and opportunity mapping.
Certificate earners who complete the course will be able to:
- Spot new opportunities by uncovering unmet customer needs, new audiences and places to expand.
- Find product-market fit using customer feedback and real-world signals to shape a product around what people want.
- Prioritize the right bets by weighing opportunities against their strengths, customer needs and potential upside.
- Develop offerings customers keep coming back to, and reinvest that loyalty into lasting momentum.
- Turn what they learn into a growth strategy playbook they can use at work and in their own business ventures.
The instructors:
- Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. Khosrowshahi has led Uber's expansion across mobility, delivery and new businesses. As the former CEO of Expedia, he has deep experience scaling companies and choosing where to invest.
- Sachin Kansal, Chief Product Officer. Kansal has worked across some of Uber's most important products, including safety, rides, delivery and autonomous vehicles. His work shows how strong products earn trust, find product-market fit and lay the foundation for a lasting business.
- Andrew Macdonald, President & COO. Macdonald helped take Uber from an early-stage startup to one of the world's largest mobility platforms. His experience covers launching markets, scaling operations and building the systems that turn rapid expansion into a durable global business.
- Georgie Jeffreys, Vice President of Global Marketing. Jeffreys has helped shape how Uber brings new products to market and builds demand for them, from major launches to global brand campaigns.
- Sarfraz Maredia, Head of Autonomous Mobility & Delivery. Maredia has led several of Uber's biggest businesses across mobility, delivery and now autonomous vehicles. He works where scaling proven businesses meets placing big bets on new opportunities.
