Matt Gaudio Named Tusker CEO, Leading Rapidly Growing IT Firm
Will Continue Successful Growth Strategy Spearheaded by Departing CEO Matt Zafirovski
CHICAGO, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tusker, a midmarket IT services provider with a growing national footprint, today announced that company executive Matt Gaudio has been named Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Matt Zafirovski, who has accepted a leadership position with a publicly traded technology firm after six years with Tusker that included multiple acquisitions and culminated in the strongest performance in company history earlier this year.
Gaudio is a 20-year technology industry veteran who most recently served as Tusker's Chief Solutions Officer, a second-in-command position in which he was responsible for solutions, professional services, managed services and delivery operations. He has been instrumental in implementing the "One Tusker" strategy designed to integrate the operations of all acquired companies and position the organization for long-term growth.
"Matt Zafirovski's leadership helped build the momentum we have today and set the stage for ongoing growth by establishing the ability to meet an increasingly broad range of client IT needs," Gaudio said. "Half of our growth to date has been organic and half has been achieved through acquisition, and we expect that to continue as we advance toward our goal of becoming a $1 billion company."
"Matt Gaudio knows our people, our customers and our strategy, and he has been central to our One Tusker transformation," said Mike Zafirovski, Tusker Executive Chairman. "The Board and I appreciate Matt Z's leadership over the past six years, wish him the best in his next post, and have full confidence that Matt G is the right leader for Tusker's next chapter."
Known as ACP CreativIT until a rebranding earlier this year, Tusker originated with Arlington Computer Products (ACP), a Chicago-area IT hardware distributor founded in 1984. The Zaf Group investment firm acquired ACP in 2017 as the first step in a strategic plan to build a technology services organization with a comprehensive suite of capabilities, broad geographic coverage, and a dedication to developing long-term client relationships.
The company then acquired Green Bay-based Camera Corner Connecting Point in 2018, Duluth's Citon Computer Corporation in 2022, Boston's Versatile Communications seven months later, Chicago-based Mindsight in 2025, and Cleveland-based cybersecurity specialist Fortress SRM last month. All six companies had decades of experience in their respective communities, strong regional reputations, customer-centric cultures, and owner-operators who remain active in the business today.
Tusker currently has major hubs in Chicago, Boston, Green Bay, Duluth, Eau Claire and Cleveland with a team of more than 450 including 250 technologists. It serves clients ranging from prominent local organizations to businesses with a global footprint, including those in the education, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and government/public sectors.
"Tusker's growth has been remarkable, and I'm gratified to have played a role in that over the last six years," said Matt Zafirovski, who served as company CEO for the last four years after two years as COO. "Matt G has been a driving force in fusing the capabilities of our acquired companies, and I can't think of a better person to lead Tusker into its next phase of growth."
