Maven Names Ben Milstien As VP Of Sales
Milstien's hire signals the company's expansion of Maven Maternity, the cutting-edge employee benefit for expecting and new moms
NEW YORK, Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Maven, the digital clinic for women, announced its hire of industry veteran Ben Milstien as its VP of Sales. Milstien comes to Maven with over 20 years of healthcare sales and consulting experience and has a proven track record of scaling fast-growing enterprise solutions. He will lead the sales strategy for the company's enterprise product, Maven Maternity, a 15-month digital program that helps expecting and new moms navigate pregnancy and their maternity leave, supported by the company's national telemedicine network. His focus will be working directly with insurers, employers, and consultants to grow this part of Maven's business.
"Incredibly, maternity benefits has been a sleepy industry that has lacked innovation. This is all the more shocking given that pregnancy often represents one of the largest cost buckets for self-insured companies," says Kate Ryder, founder & CEO. "Maven Maternity is focused first and foremost on the female patient, providing her a practical and engaging solution throughout her pregnancy and through her transition back to work. It helps companies reduce maternity-related costs, as well as support new parents with a family-friendly culture. Ben, with his direct experience in healthcare sales, is a critical hire to help us scale our unique solution."
Prior to joining Maven, Milstien was a sales director for RedBrick Health where he covered the entire Southeast territory and singlehandedly doubled sales in his region during his tenure. Previously, he held senior sales and leadership roles at Castlight Health, Truven Health Analytics, HighRoads, Lockheed Martin, and KPMG.
"Selling employers on Maven Maternity is huge opportunity because no one else in the market has a solution to both simultaneously help support moms and save companies money," says Milstien. "And beyond the growth prospects, I am personally excited to be part of an organization that is truly making a difference in transforming women's health."
