Maxfield & Oberton Announces 100-Hour Final Deadline to Purchase All Buckyballs® Products
NEW YORK, Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxfield & Oberton Holdings LLC, the manufacturer of Buckyballs® and Buckycubes®, high-powered Rare Earth magnets marketed and promoted for use by adults, announced its final, 100-hour deadline for purchasing Buckyballs® products on Sunday. At the end of the 100 hours, the products will no longer be available to the public for purchase.

The action results from a long and costly legal dispute with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), which blindsided Maxfield & Oberton with a superfluous lawsuit, despite the company's warning labels, increased outreach to the agency, and on-going commitment to a safety and educational campaign.
"100 hours from now sales of our products will stop and be gone for good," said Craig Zucker, CEO and Founder, Maxfield & Oberton. "We're proud of the incredible success of our brand and products over the past few years and our customers have been fantastic. But given the precedent setting legal case before us and the continued badgering by the CPSC, Buckyballs will go the way of Crystal Pepsi and the DeLorean."
Thanks to the success of Maxfield & Oberton's ongoing sale and the dedication of its loyal customers, its inventory is becoming increasingly limited in anticipation of the holiday season.
