Mayor Lee, AT&T Kick Off "SF Summer Of Giving" Supporting Nonprofits That Make SF Accessible And Vibrant
AT&T to give more than $280,000 to eight San Francisco nonprofit organizations over eight weeks
SAN FRANCISCO, June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Mayor Edwin M. Lee and President of the Board of Supervisors London Breed joined AT&T at City Hall to kick off the "SF Summer of Giving" campaign, which will award $283,000 to eight community organizations over eight weeks in an effort to support and spotlight organizations that make San Francisco accessible and vibrant for everyone. Mayor Lee and AT&T California President Ken McNeely presented the first awardee, the Asian Pacific American Community Center, with $20,000 to expand their community and scholarship programs to uplift Asian and Pacific Islander communities in San Francisco and across the Bay Area.
AT&T also announced that it will make additional weekly contributions of $20,000 or more to:
- San Francisco AIDS Foundation
- University of San Francisco's Girl TechPower Program
- California Historical Society (supporting the Recreation and Park Department's PPIE Passport to Success program)
- The Arc of San Francisco
- NatureBridge
- Meals on Wheels of San Francisco
- CORO Northern California
Every week from June 25th to August 14th, AT&T will highlight an "SF Summer of Giving" awardee and their contributions to San Francisco on Twitter at #SFSummerOfGiving.
