MB2 Dental Solutions Raises Over $83k for Employees in Texas Affected by Hurricane Harvey
MB2 Dental on pace to reach goal of raising $100,000 for their fellow MB2 Dental family
CARROLLTON, Texas, Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MB2 Dental Solutions, a Texas-based Dental Support Organization, has raised over $83,000 in donations so far for Hurricane Harvey victims within their organization and various affiliated offices. The unprecedented hurricane that tore through the Texas coastline directly affected 25 affiliate offices and over 200 MB2 Dental employees. While the affected victims of MB2 Dental's family were not physically harmed, they suffered massive losses.
MB2 Dental and its 87 affiliate offices will continue to collect donations until they have reached their goal of $100,000. In the meantime, the DSO has already begun releasing funds directly to employees who are victims of the hurricane.

"Our primary focus is the well-being of our employees, patients and all those victims affected by Harvey. We were able to act quickly after the Hurricane and serve emergency patients as well as the patients from our affected offices. Hurricane Harvey was a Category 4 storm that hit Texas on August 25, 2017. Harvey made landfall three separate times in six days and due to the nature of the slow-moving storm, two feet of rain fell in the first 24 hours. At Harvey's peak on September 1st, it was reported that one-third of Houston was underwater. Flooding forced 39,000 people out of their homes and into shelters.
MB2 Dental implemented the relief initiative as soon as they learned of the catastrophic effects of the hurricane. Affiliate offices around the country including offices in Alaska, Tennessee, Louisiana and New Mexico came together to raise funds and donations for the MB2 employees, patients and communities affected. Clothes, food, water, bedding and other supplies were delivered to Beaumont, Houston, Victoria and the coastal areas in September. Though MB2 Dental has already begun helping Hurricane Harvey families in need, they are still accepting donations in order to hit their goal of $100,000 in aid.
