DETROIT, Aug. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Detroit today announced that Bill Cimino has joined the agency as EVP, Chief Creative Officer.

Cimino joins Jeff Cruz, named MRM//McCann Detroit EVP, Chief Creative Officer earlier this year, as the team continues to build a deep and varied creative center in Detroit for McCann Worldgroup.

Cimino, a creative leader who has held top positions at major agencies both in Chicago and California, has won every major creative award in his more than 25 years in the industry. Most recently he served as Chief Creative Officer of Y&R Chicago, where he drove the agency to achieve recognition as 2014 Creative Agency of the Year from the Chicago Advertising Federation after winning five new pieces of business in just one year. In addition, while serving as Global Creative Director on the McDonald's account at DDB Worldwide, he led his team to win 13 Lions at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity and the Gold Effie for Sustained Success over a five-year period. Cimino, who began his career as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather, also served as Chief Creative Officer at FCB California.
