NEW YORK, Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Worldgroup and its Chairman and CEO, Harris Diamond, have been recognized in Advertising Age's 2015 Agency A-List special issue honoring the nation's best advertising and marketing firms. Diamond was named Ad Age's "Executive of the Year" for his performance leading the McCann Worldgroup network of agencies.
Diamond joined McCann Worldgroup in 2012, moving over from heading Interpublic Group's CMG division and the Weber Shandwick PR agency. Since his arrival Diamond has focused the network on integrating its array of multiplatform communications capabilities to grow the business and service clients. In delivering on this goal, Diamond has assembled a leadership team across the Worldgroup companies who share his passion for creativity, collaboration and innovation in how the network deploys talent and resources on behalf of clients.
In recognizing Diamond as its Executive of the Year, Advertising Age cited his leadership that "infused the network with new blood and fostered a spirit so collaborative that it scooped up the massive global Microsoft business."
Ad Age also recognized the change in the McCann Worldgroup's communications mindset to leverage its diverse capabilities.
