McCourt Announces Paula Recart as Head of Social Impact

NEW YORK, March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- McCourt, LP today announced the appointment of Paula Recart as Head of Social Impact, where she will manage the McCourt Impact agenda. McCourt Impact is the social impact entity of McCourt that currently supports the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, The Shed and The Future Project in New York City, The Olympique de Marseille Foundation in France and The McCourt Foundation. In addition, Ms. Recart will lead the effort to plan for the future of McCourt Impact.

Ms. Recart will co-develop the overall strategy, nurture and grow partnerships, and scale social impact initiatives for McCourt. In this capacity, she will work closely with Mr. McCourt and senior leaders to maximize the effect of current initiatives and identify new opportunities to better address today's structural challenges.

Ms. Recart joins McCourt Impact from Ashoka, the world's largest network of social entrepreneurs, where she held several senior leadership roles over 12 years. After accepting a Director of Communications position in 2007 at its Washington, DC headquarters, she progressed to the role of Ashoka North America Director and Ashoka's Leadership Group Member. Prior to Ashoka, Ms. Recart served as the Editor-in-Chief of the bi-weekly publication PAULA magazine for nearly a decade. She holds a BA in journalism and sociology from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
