CHICAGO, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- McGuireWoods LLP, a proud sponsor of the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) Chicagoland Tour de Cure, will join together with thousands of community members at the event in Wheaton, Ill., on June 10, 2012, in support of the ADA's mission to stop diabetes.

With bike routes ranging from 10 to 100 miles, the ride will begin at 6:30 a.m. with additional start times at 7:30, 8:30 and 10 a.m. Participants will meet at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, where a celebration with food and live music will be held that afternoon.

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin, a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy. According to the ADA, nearly 26 million people in the United States are diagnosed with diabetes.
