Chicago Nonprofit Organization Hosts Fundraiser to Help Support Chicago's Homeless

CHICAGO, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- McGuireWoods LLP announced today that it is a proud sponsor of the North Side Housing and Supportive Services' (NSHSS) 29^th Annual Dinner, a community event to be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, to raise funds for the support of individuals who are homeless in the Chicagoland area.

The event, which will include a silent auction and an awards ceremony, will be hosted by Valerie Warner, co-host of ABC Channel 7's Windy City Live, and Illinois Rep. Sara Feigenholtz will participate as the keynote speaker.

According to a recent study by the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, 105,338 Chicagoans experienced homelessness between 2011 and 2012. Significant economic changes, such as the downturn of the economy and a higher unemployment rate than the state average, have led to an increase in homelessness in recent years.

The dinner will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.at Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant located at 516 N.
