WASHINGTON, Feb. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a conference call to provide reporters with an overview of the 2012 Economic Census Geographic Area Series, including specifics on the release schedule, how to access and use the statistics.
The Geographic Area Series provides detailed industry statistics by state, metro area, county and place for establishments with paid employees. The Census Bureau released the first figures covering the manufacturing sector for all states on Jan. 27. Statistics will be released on a flow basis for the remaining economic sectors by state through the remainder of the year. The series is the only source of economic information from the Census Bureau for more than 15,000 cities, towns and similar places, including data for more than 5,000 small places never before available from the Census Bureau.
